Natural Bliss Creamer {Health & Food Review #NaturalBlissWM}

In my quest of trying to get healthy (one step at a time) and in a quest of realizing I am getting older and should try to take better care of myself, I’ve tried to cut out unhealthy sweeteners/preservatives, etc. It’s hard. Usually this means I have to buy items that are more expensive or make something from scratch. I still haven’t gotten my choices down to a perfect science, but one area that it has been easy to make healthier choices is beverages.

They have all 3 varities in stock, and again, they have a special mini-banner to draw attention to the creamers. I didn't see that on any other creamers.

In the mornings, I love coffee. Especially on weekends when I get to sit down and write blog posts or read magazines. Admittedly, I enjoy lots of creamer in my coffee. It makes it creamy and sweetens it up a bit. That’s why I was excited to get the task of heading to Walmart to pick up a bottle of Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss Creamer. It is all natural and has only 4 ingredients.

And I can actually pronounce all of them. While shopping for the creamer, I glanced at ingredients in other creamers I’ve bought before. Look at the difference.

And usually when you buy something that is all natural, it tends to have a shorter shelf life. Notice the August 18, 2012 expiration date? Well, it is good until then, sorta. Once you actually open the creamer, you have to use it within 14 days. So, don’t open it until you plan to use and then you know you have 2 weeks. Not a deal breaker, but it is something to be aware of so you’re not drinking spoiled creamer.

And even better is that it is only about $2.28 per bottle. It comes in 3 tasty varieties, and besides coffee, I think these creamers would work well in recipes or even as a way to create some tasty vanilla ice cream. As most of you all know, I also count calories (most days…I try!) so, of course I had to see how much/little of a dent it would make in my daily caloric intake.

Not too bad. I usually put about 2 tbsp. in a 16 oz. mug, so this will only set me back 70 calories if I use my Truvia sweetener.

All natural, tasty and affordable. If you want to try some out, you can go to the Walmart website and print a coupon for $1 off 2 bottles. My personal fave is the sweet cream, but the other 2 flavors are tasty as well.

Don’t believe me? Why don’t you head over to the Facebook page for Natural Bliss creamer to see what others think. I’ll be back in a few days with a recipe to show you how to make a tasty iced coffee using the creamer. It’ll be delicious, quick and low cal/healthy.
