Healthy LIFEstyle {Weight Loss}
This is a lifestyle blog. Clearly- I mean, look at my logo/banner image. It clearly states so.
This isn’t an “Extreme Home Lifestyle” blog or an “Extreme Weight Loss” blog… so, why, WHY do I choose to look at weight loss/healthy living in such an extreme way? Do you do that, too? I can’t be alone.
I am a rational girl (stop laughing, Daniel), and I can come to terms with balance, reality and all that jazz. Yet I have had such an all-or-nothing approach to healthy living.
Let’s reflect back on this year when I weighed every morsel of food from January 1st to mid-April. EVERY MORSEL. I exercised for 100 days straight. Even through an eye infection. Even through my drunken birthday evening. Even through all the days I was hurting (like legitimately hurting…damn knees!) and didn’t want to.
Then from mid-April until yesterday, I’ve been half-assing it. Exercising only 1-3 times a week. Semi-tracking my food intake. Sporadically drinking water and continuously chugging diet pepsi.
Those are 2 extremes, aren’t they? The super strict and the super loose.
And today I woke up and decided that although I didn’t lose the weight I wanted to for BlogHer, I do still need to lose weight in general. Like 70 pounds or so. But I’ll never do this unless I find a happy medium I can sustain. Obviously.
You’re probably thinking, “Did she really have to write a post about something that is SO obvious?” Well, yes because I think this is something revolutionary to me. I might be able to do this if I can create and follow healthy habits most (not all) of the time.
Or this could just be me being really nervous that I might die during my workout with Bob Harper on Saturday and he’ll whip my ass if I don’t do something about this excess weight.

Either way, something’s gotta give. Have you had a weight loss or other life epiphany that’s so obvious, yet so hard to do? Tell me about it.
