Activia Selects Yogurt {Healthy Food Review}

As you all know, I have been trying to lose weight for the entirety of this blog. Really, it’s a never-ending journey or as I like to say…

I’m a work in progress.

One of the hardest things to do is to snack healthy. It’s so easy to just grab something from the vending machine, eat cookies, eat chips, etc. And then you’re STILL hungry. Everyone knows that feeling, right? It’s that oh-my-gosh-I-need-a-snack-NOW feeling. I’ve been trying to hard to curb those unhealthy snack habits, and a big part of what’s helping me do that is yogurt. I’ve been on a greek yogurt kick lately  (especially the Dannon Oikos Honey one…swoon), but Activia sent me some coupons to try their new yogurts and I went for the French yogurt.

Oui! Ooh la la…

From Activia: Discover epically thick and creamy Greek nonfat yogurt and romance your taste buds with silky-smooth French yogurt. Activia is a delicious, creamy yogurt. Activia, with Bifidus Regularis® (Bifidobacterium Lactis DN 173-010), helps naturally regulate your digestive system when consumed daily for two weeks as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Now Dannon Activia Selects lets you visit Europe from your kitchen by bringing the true taste of French and Greek yogurt to you in a cup. For more information visit facebook.com/activiaAdvertisement

That blurb is courtesy of Activia, but you’re probably here because you want to know I think of it, right? Well, I loved it. I truly did. I will be totally in honest in saying that I’ve tried other Activia yogurts when they first came out, and was less than delighted with the taste/texture. BUT, the French yogurt w/strawberries on the bottom was simply fantastic. The texture is almost complete opposite of Greek yogurt- it’s not as thick and dense. It’s definitely more creamy, almost milkshake like in taste/consistency. Perfect for breakfast, snack or even a dessert. I could picture pairing this yogurt with some crumbled shortcake cookies to create a tasty, refreshing dessert in a snap.

The portion is not too small, nor too big. It’s easy to fit it into my caloric goals for the day. The strawberries are sweet and delicious- no funky sour/artificial taste with this yogurt.

I bought them at my local Wal-Mart for $1.00 each, but you can snag a coupon right here to try out 1 of their yogurts absolutely free. It can’t get better than that!

Also, I’ll be partnering up with Activia to offer some cool freebies such as totes and lunch boxes to help you reach your healthy goals.

Have any of you tried the new Activia Selects yogurts? Which ones? Let me know which flavor I should snag up next.

Low in calories, high in taste and affordable.

I am addicted.

Disclosure: I was provided with coupons to obtain the products for free. All opinions are my own. And my yogurt, too.
