#ClearAmerican Water = Less Diet Soda {Weight Loss}
I hate drinking water. HATE.
I love soda. LOVE.
Combine those 2 things and what do you get? Well, you get a girl who is hooked on flavored water. Especially if it’s fizzy like soda, has 0 calories/caffeine/sugars/sodium.
Enter Clear American water.
The past 2 weeks I’ve been slowly cutting out the soda (not entirely…yet) in an effort to help whiten my teeth and lessen my dependence on diet soda. In return, I’ve been trying to drink more water. Since plain bottled water is just not my favorite thing in the world, I also drink Clear American water, exclusively from Walmart.
My favorite thing about this water is that it is carbonated, they have a lot of flavors and they’re CHEAP. I used to buy 2 diet sodas from the machine a day, which costs me $2.50 ($1.25 each), and now I have 2 servings of Clear American water for $1.28 (64-cents each). Look at all the flavors! And this is because some of them were sold out (like my beloved lemon!).
Some flavors even had added benefits like vitamins, etc.:
Every Sunday I go (just me, not with the husband…he takes forever when grocery shopping) and I buy 5 greek yogurts, light wheat bread, lunch meat and Clear American water so that I have stuff easily accessible to help me stay on track during a busy work week. Honestly, I do this every Sunday because when it comes to trying to lose weight or be healthier, planning is of the essence, right? Right.
I take 1-2 bottles with me to work, per day, and it has helped curb my diet soda habit a smidge. Even better? My husband really likes them, too! We drink them during our family meals or when we’re watching some of our favorite TV shows during the week. At 0 calories, a ton of flavor and not a ton of money, Clear American water is quickly becoming my favorite beverage to help me stay on my weight loss plan. My favorite flavors are the lemon, key lime and golden peach. The key lime water makes a great addition to a margarita. No, not joking. It does. Add a splash to a margarita for a nice tangy, tart lime flavor without any calories if you don’t have limes on hand. Or make some frozen popsicles using popsicle molds.
Even as I am typing this blog post, I am drinking some Clear American water (yes, I have a framed photo of Bob Harper and I on my desk…)
I am drinking the tangerine lime flavor that will give me more energy. I sure hope so because I am doing a lot of crafting/blogging today and feel a bit under the weather. So, I know many of you have a diet soda addiction like I do, and hopefully you’ll consider Clear American water a good alternative (in addition to plain bottled/tap water).
