#IAmaSmartie Candy for Everyone {Review}

I’m a person who doesn’t have any food allergies, luckily. Therefore, I’ll admit that sometimes it’s not something I am super aware of unless someone brings it to my attention. BUT…being that my day job requires me to help and see people all day long, I wanted to have some candy in my office that anyone could eat without worry. I don’t want to cause anyone an allergic reaction. No joke, that stuff can be serious!

I have friends who are Vegan, who are Gluten free, who are nut/chocolate free, so that seems like it’d leave me with few choices, right? Well, maybe. Luckily, Smarties offers candy that is Vegan-friendly, Gluten free and worry free for those people who have nut/dairy allergies. And there are lots of people who are trying to deal with those dietary restrictions (whether it be voluntary or involuntary). I remember going to a conference recently that had a Vegan section in addition to a Gluten free section. We should be more aware and sensitive to these types of things, and right now with Halloween coming up, I didn’t want to only have chocolates (though I do love chocolate).

Besides all that, I also really appreciate that Smarties are individually wrapped. In any given day, I can have anywhere from 2 people to 40+ people in my office. If I just had a dish of open candies, that’d be a lot of hands/germs on the candy. Which honestly kind of grosses me out.

I’ll also admit I don’t like to spend much money on candy and such for my office, so I love that I can get a ton of Smarties for $1.98 a bag at Walmart (you can see Daniel & I shopping for Smarties over here). I filled up my jar with about half a bag, so that’s $2 for about a 2 work week’s worth of candy.

And being that I love crafts, you can also craft with them. Here are my top 3 favorite crafts using Smarties.

Cute stuff, huh? I have some ideas for some great Halloween crafts using Smarties thanks to some very crafty people out there. Let’s recap: Smarties are gluten free, Vegan, nut/chocolate free, affordable, individually wrapped, tamper evident, and low calorie. In other words, Smarties is great for anyone.

How do you feel about Smarties? Love them? Do you have to deal with food allergies and wish people would be more aware about them?

I’ll be back tomorrow with some foyer inspiration and a picture of my NEW sofa. She’s a beauty! Can’t wait to show ya.
