Snacking with Riceworks {Review & Giveaway}
I love to snack. I could snack before and after every meal of the day…and I’ll admit sometimes I have. However, it’s hard to find snacks that aren’t super high in calories, so I try to find snacks that are under 150 calories per serving, are tasty, are affordable and that I love. And lucky for me, I found Riceworks at BlogHer 11, and got to try a few samples. I’ll admit I’ve seen the products in stores before and thought they’d taste bad or like rice cakes.

Totally not the case! They’re flavorful, crunchy and just the right thickness. I know that seems weird, but I hate either really thin chips or really thick ones. These are right in the middle. I am obsessed with the Salsa Fresca variety because it has a lot of flavor. I’ve eaten them with sandwiches, tortilla soup or just as a snack and really like them. At 140 calories a serving it’s not the lowest calorie/sodium snack ever made and it’s not going to replace fruits/veggies as snacks, but it’s a great, tasty snack (in moderation).
Each serving does have some whole grain brown rice in it, which I think is cool. There are some other benefits you can read about over on their website. If you would like to try them right now, you can confess your snacking sins over on their Facebook page for a $1 off coupon...OR You can enter to win 5 FREE BAGS (that’s so you can try 1 of each flavor) to ONE lucky reader below using Rafflecopter. Contest closes midnight on Thursday, and I’ll e-mail the winner on Friday. I’ll say that I live in the middle of nowhere and found them at our local Wal-Mart, so they should be easy to find. Good luck and happy snacking!
