Macy’s Chloe Sofa {Dining Room Update}

She’s heeeeerrreeee! <--- said in Oprah-esque voice.

Who, you might ask? Well, my lovely Chloe sofa that I have been lusting over for oh…years. Obviously I take large purchases seriously because I waited and waited to order her.

And I LURVE it. Oh, she’s a beauty. Her soft fabric, gorgeous tufts, and graceful arms. She’s my sofa soulmate if one existed. Puffy hearts all around.

She works fabulously on the rug from Overstock (sold out, currently). My World Market curtains look great in the room. Oh gosh. I love.

I found this bench/coffee table at Marshall’s and instantly loved it for the space. The chrome nailheads give it a sophisticated look.

And the bench can also be an ottoman to rest my feet after a long day at the office and kick back with the latest issue of House Beautiful. Oddly enough the heading states, “Happiness starts here!” Indeed.

Of course I had to tie in my current obsession with all things peacock/teal/aqua. The solid pillow is from Walmart ($4) and the peacock pillow is from Marshall’s ($16).

Love this very classy floor lamp for the space. I may add an end table instead, but for now, this lamp does the job. Also from Marshall’s (what can I say, love that store!)

Pee Wee also gets a place of his own on this floor cushion/pillow we snagged on clearance at Kohl’s. What a spoiled dog! Wouldn’t have it any other way.

The dining area is off to the right. Close enough for dinner parties, far enough away for defined spaces.

And the main reason I splurged on the Chloe sofa as opposed to a cheaper one from Rooms to Go is the size + the arms on the sofa do not break the line of sight. (I saw that in a Candice Tells All episode)

The only downside? When on the sofa I can see all the work we STILL need to do.

I need something in that^^ space. Was thinking of a TV (hellooooo HGTV) or maybe a family photo. What do you think?

And I need to clear off my counters, finish the chair rail and touch up paint. It never ends, does it?

Overall though, I am a HAPPY girl. While I did lose sleep over how much I spent on my sofa, I am happy I splurged. It was the perfect choice for the space.

Note to self: take the tags off sofa and crop Pee Wee’s tail out of the picture. Whoops.

Like I mentioned above, we still have LOTS of work to do, but it’s finally coming together. Whew.

I also want to thank YOU, my dear, dear readers for helping me in the Krylon Duel *cue angels singing*.

Why, yes I am the Ultimate Restorer because…I WON!! You all helped me win an iPad 2. I am so thrilled, yet so very humbled. I know my blog isn’t super popular; it doesn’t get attention like many of the other big blogs, but I have the absolute BEST followers/readers. But calling you all merely followers/readers isn’t quite right. I truly feel you all are my friends. I can sit here with my diet soda and just write to you all. I write this blog as if I was talking to my BFF. Truly, I thank you for all the support. Please know as my blog grows slowly but surely my heart is always with you all. Without you all, I’d be writing to myself.

And now I’m crying. Happy tears, I swear.

Thank you.
